Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend processes and integrations in a hybrid role in Foster City, CA. You will develop Python-based solutions, deploy cloud resources with Terraform, and contribute to frontend tasks using React and TypeScript.

You will work on internal applications supporting product design, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory systems, while ensuring data integrity and security best practices across architectures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python and web frameworks such as Flask and Django.
• API development experience in Python (GraphQL, REST).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB).
• Understanding of ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy.
• Excellent Python coding skills and understanding of Python best practices.
• Cloud (AWS) development and deployment experience.
• General frontend development knowledge (React, TypeScript).
• Good communication skills and ability to collect requirements from customers.
• Strong customer service skills related to application support and training.
• Experience with Docker or similar container-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain processes, integrations, applications and scripts, mostly on the backend with Python.
• Deploy cloud resources mostly with Terraform.
• Some frontend (JS, React, TypeScript).
• Design system requirements for new and existing applications.
• Create and implement company-wide tools and methodologies.
• Oversee, and often perform, major application installations and upgrades.
• Develop applications supporting product design, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory systems.
• Review peer code.
• Contribute to many internal git repositories.
