Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and maintain the Data Cloud Connector, moving clinical data from hospital systems to GE HealthCare's cloud. You’ll work across the full software lifecycle on a distributed system used in hospitals worldwide.

Required: Bachelor's in CS or STEM with 2+ years' software engineering; Java or Python experience; AWS knowledge; familiar with CI/CD and Agile practices. No visa sponsorship for this role. Bellevue, WA area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM with ≥2 years software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Java and/or Python with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system engineers and software developers to build solutions.
• Write clean, tested code meeting team standards.
• Build and maintain backend features such as web services and database queries.
• Apply SDLC best practices including CI, security, scalability, and documentation.
• Assess and improve application performance against defined targets.
• Apply core data structures and algorithms to engineering problems.
