Job summary

IMC Trading's BP&A team seeks a Software Engineer focused on backend development to build tools and systems powering our business. You’ll work with data pipelines, dashboards, and large datasets, collaborating with finance, operations, and trading teams across Chicago, Amsterdam, and Sydney.

We value Python and SQL proficiency, Kubernetes and Docker, AWS experience, and CI/CD workflows. React is a plus. Immigration sponsorship is not offered for this opening.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or another quantitative field.
• 2–5 years software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Strong Python and SQL skills; React experience is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and cloud platforms (AWS).

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful pieces of system development, maintenance, and automation.
• Collaborate with BI developers and finance/operations/trading teams to run the BP&A ecosystem.
• Build tools to increase efficiency and speed data processing.
• Develop high-end dashboards and visualization tools for stakeholders globally.
• Work with large data sets and data pipelines supporting finance analytics.
