Job summary

Insight Global is hiring two mid-level Software Engineers to support a large healthcare client, Solventum, focusing on a backend system and GovCloud deployments. You will work within a Scrum team, contribute to microservices migration, and gain cloud deployment experience under senior guidance.

The role involves debugging, QA collaboration, and occasional on-call support. Strong Java/C#/Python skills, AWS familiarity, and SQL/NoSQL basics are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with a related bachelor's degree, OR ~10 years of experience without a degree.
• Strong in 2 of the following 3 languages: Java, C#, and Python. Java + C# preferred.
• Hands-on AWS experience (1+ years acceptable).
• Willingness to pick up additional cloud/deployment skills on the job.
• Strong debugging skills and a self-starting mindset.
• Basic SQL/NoSQL understanding; deep AWS knowledge including IAM roles, subnets, VPCs.
• Front-end experience: Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (minimal but a plus).
• Stronger SQL depth: stored procedures and data querying.
• CloudWatch experience, telemetry/monitoring tools (Grafana).
• Healthcare industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an active member of a scrum team across all phases of the SDLC (design, development, code reviews).
• Work on active development items and deployments under senior engineer supervision.
• Attend daily standup at 10:30am ET (~30 min).
• Contribute to moving into GovCloud boundaries and breaking the monolith into microservices.
• Respond to QA/tester-identified issues and site-reported issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation (day and evening shifts) monitoring the cloud environment.
