Job summary

Proto is seeking a software engineer to own the backend and quantitative systems powering our prediction market products. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move between architecture, implementation, research, and production operations and who wants meaningful influence over both the product and the engineering organization.

You should have strong backend fundamentals, experience building scalable, data-heavy systems, and familiarity with DeFi and on-chain protocols.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering and system design fundamentals.
• Experience building reliable, scalable, data-intensive systems.
• Quantitative or research-oriented ability, e.g., trading systems, financial data, modeling or experimentation.
• Experience with DeFi protocols and financial primitives, on-chain systems.
• Strong ability to reason about AI-assisted development and produce production-quality code.
• 3+ years of full-time web3/crypto development.
• 4+ years of professional engineering experience in tech/product-driven companies.
