Job summary

MaintainX is expanding its Backend team within the Platform Engineering division. You’ll design, build, and maintain backend foundations powering our internal developer platform, enabling 150+ internal developers to ship faster and more reliably.

You should have 5+ years of distributed systems experience and be an expert in Node.js and TypeScript, with strong GraphQL API design, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD practices. English fluency is required for leadership across multiple teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of distributed systems experience.
Expert in Node.js and TypeScript.
Proficient designing, maintaining, and evolving GraphQL APIs at scale.
Strong AI mindset.
Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
A product mindset: build a platform for internal customers.
Excellent English, both spoken and written, for leadership across teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend foundations powering the internal developer platform.
Bring AI native workflows into daily work and into the platform.
Raise engineering standards across the team.
Lead consolidation and evolution of platform primitives (portal, development tooling, graphQL, CI/CD paths).
Collaborate with other platform and product teams to define and adopt the internal developer platform.
