Job summary

MaintainX is expanding its Backend team within Platform Engineering to scale an internal developer platform for 150+ internal developers. You will design, build, and maintain backend foundations, infuse AI-native workflows, and raise engineering excellence while consolidating platform primitives across teams.

We seek a candidate with 5+ years in distributed systems who can lead the evolution of GraphQL APIs, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD, driving a product mindset for internal customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of distributed systems experience.
• Expert in Node.js or TypeScript.
• Proficient designing, maintaining and evolving GraphQL APIs at scale.
• Strong AI mindset.
• Good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• A product mindset to build a platform for internal customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend foundations and tooling for the internal developer platform.
• Incorporate AI-native workflows into the platform and daily work.
• Raise engineering excellence standards across teams.
• Lead the consolidation and evolution of platform primitives and CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with other platform teams and product development teams.
