Job summary

Wolt's Core BI team seeks a Software Engineer to build and operate backend services, APIs and infrastructure powering BI platforms like Looker and Sigma. You will own problems end-to-end, from discovery through deployment and support, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists and product teams.

You will modernize the platform, automate lifecycle management, and raise the bar on reliability, security and developer experience across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Readable, maintainable, well-tested Python code with SQL knowledge
• Experience building and owning APIs and integrations in production
• Hands-on with CI/CD, containers and Kubernetes, observability and incident response
• Experience using AI tools (LLMs, agentic workflows) in engineering
• End-to-end ownership of ambiguous problems and strong cross-team communication

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate backend services and APIs used by BI platforms
• Automate platform lifecycle and provisioning tasks
• Develop integrations between BI platforms and wider ecosystem
• Improve availability, performance, and security of owned systems
• Provide strong developer experience and governance for the platform
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Product teams
