Job summary

Tower Loan is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a modern microservices architecture using .NET Core/C#. You will refactor legacy components into APIs, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and build integrations across payment, document management, analytics, and BI platforms.

You’ll work with Blazor front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences while ensuring security and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience in .NET Core / C#.
• Experience with SQL Server (DDL, performance tuning, indexing).
• Proven experience integrating third-party APIs and building internal SDKs.
• Understanding of DDD and clean architecture principles.
• Front-end development experience with Blazor or React preferred.
• Familiarity with containers and cloud platforms preferred.
• Experience modernizing legacy financial or loan servicing systems preferred.
• Certifications in software development or cloud technologies are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in .NET Core / C# as part of our new microservices architecture.
• Refactor legacy monolithic components into modern APIs with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with product and engineering on services for Account Inquiry, Workbox, Smart Comments, Unified Messaging, and Doc/eSignature workflows.
• Build and maintain SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, and views with data integrity and performance focus.
• Develop integrations across payment, document management, analytics, and BI platforms, plus internal APIs.
• Implement event-driven patterns (Kafka) for reliable asynchronous processing.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
• Work with front-end teams using Blazor to deliver modern user experiences.
• Ensure compliance with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GLBA, and related frameworks.
• Contribute to technical documentation, ERDs, OpenAPI specs, and deployment scripts.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
