Job summary

Weekday in New York City is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to design, build, test, and maintain scalable backend services using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs, SQL Server, and cloud technologies. You will collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, architects, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performance software solutions.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Core and Web API development.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Experience with SQL Server, database design, and SQL query optimization.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of microservices and distributed application architecture.
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest.
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, or OpenID Connect.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
