Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking a junior back-end Java software engineer for the ASE Commerce Segments and Platform team. You will contribute to building secure, scalable services enabling transactions across App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, and more, supporting billions of daily transactions in 130+ countries.

You’ll work on RESTful APIs, microservices, and data stores, focusing on performance, reliability, and observability while growing alongside a world-class team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software engineering experience building and maintaining critical systems at scale.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable systems end-to-end – including RESTful APIs, microservices, databases, automated tests, tooling, monitoring and alerting dashboards.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to architect solutions and coordinate complex programs; own a broad domain.
• Troubleshoot and debug customer-impacting issues, translating ambiguity into actionable fixes.
• Mentor and support teammates to help build a cohesive, high-performing engineering team.
• Add new integrations, scale data flows, and re-imagine existing processes for new features and architectures.
• Work independently and drive projects from inception to production with focus on performance and user/developer experience.
