TikTok is seeking a backend engineer to contribute to a copyright protection platform, writing high-quality Go code for core services such as complaint intake, enforcement, and appeal management. You will work on event-driven architecture across multi-region distributed systems to ensure reliability and scalable workflows.

The role involves designing and maintaining MySQL/NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and data synchronization across DCs, collaborating with product, frontend, and ML teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in Go; familiarity with Java or C++.
• Experience with MySQL, Redis, MongoDB; indexing and basic performance tuning.
• Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop core backend services for the copyright platform in Go.
• Build event-driven data pipelines using EventBus/MQ for reliable delivery.
• Design, optimize, and maintain databases (MySQL/NoSQL) for large-scale data.
• Develop RESTful APIs and RPC interfaces for internal and external use.
• Plan multi-DC data synchronization to minimize replication lag and ensure consistency.
• Monitor performance and resolve production issues to maintain uptime.
• Collaborate with PMs, frontend engineers, ML teams, and other stakeholders for on-time delivery.
