Job summary

Fun is seeking a BackEnd Engineer to architect and maintain high-performance backend services powering our Web3 payments infrastructure. You will work on asset conversion, identity and security verification, and decentralized routing across chains with a focus on fault tolerance and scalability.

Location: Midtown, New York, NY (In-office Mon–Thurs, Remote Fridays). Team: Payments Infrastructure – Mid, Senior, Staff, or Principal Levels.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building production-grade backend systems with modern languages.
• Strong experience with TypeScript and API design.
• Understanding of distributed systems and database design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance APIs and backend services powering the Web3 payments platform.
• Develop new features to advance product experience.
• Collaborate with product and protocol teams to architect solutions that meet business needs.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.
• Contribute to incident response and debugging production issues to ensure reliability.
