This role focuses on designing scalable backend services, cloud-native development, and creating robust REST APIs, with collaboration across engineering and product teams to ensure reliable, user-focused functionality.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience building scalable, highly available applications.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, or comparable full-stack development technologies.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with API design, documentation, testing, and ongoing production support.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent practical experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance scalable backend services that power core product capabilities.
• Develop robust solutions for distributed systems challenges, including availability, performance, and data consistency.
• Work with modern cloud infrastructure and containerized environments, including AWS and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to technical design conversations, code reviews, and engineering standards.
• Partner with product management and cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, customer-focused functionality.
• Help strengthen team practices through knowledge sharing, documentation, and mentorship of developing engineers.
• Create and support well-designed REST APIs that enable reliable integrations and product experiences.
