Job summary

TrueChoice Solutions Inc. is seeking a backend-focused technologist to join our growing SaaS team in New York. You will work across the full SDLC to design, develop, test, and deploy backend services for internal and client-facing web applications.

You will leverage NodeJS, Docker, and AWS, build APIs (REST/GraphQL), and participate in building deployment automation and test suites. Collaboration and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend web development experience.
• Experience with REST APIs; GraphQL a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering practices across SDLC.
• Proficiency in OO languages such as Java, Python, or C# is a bonus.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and AWS Cloud.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to design, develop, and deploy backend services for web apps.
• Build and enhance core features for the web platform using backend tech.
• Create and improve tooling to support deployment of services.
• Develop build and deployment automation for our software workflow.
• Write unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Produce documentation for internal and client-facing use.
• Perform peer reviews of design docs and code.
• Explore and evaluate emerging or experimental technologies.
