Job summary

the company in Germany is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our team. You will implement and extend backend services using .NET, deploy in Docker containers, and build features end-to-end from database design to RESTful APIs.

You will ensure the platform remains scalable, reliable, and maintainable while monitoring production services and resolving issues early. Collaboration with product managers, frontend and backend engineers in an agile environment is expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience independently delivering backend features end-to-end in a cloud environment.
• Solid experience with.NET / C# backend development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Docker and basic containerized workflows.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Message-based or asynchronous systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Familiarity with microservices concepts and API-driven architectures.
• Comfortable breaking down tasks, estimating work, and delivering features incrementally.
• Experience or interest in using AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Fluent in English.

• Comfortable breaking down tasks, estimating work, and delivering features incrementally.
• Experience or interest in usingAI-assisted coding tools(e.g.,Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to improveproductivityand code quality.
• Fluent inEnglish.

Nice to have

• First experience withKafkaor other streaming / messaging systems.
• Exposure toKubernetes / ECSor cloud-native DevOps practices.
• Basic experience with performance tuning or database optimizations.
• Experience working in SaaS or API-first products.
