Job summary

the company is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to help shape consumer experiences across AWS-backed services and frontend applications. You will work within a cross-functional team to expand backend services and build new features in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, while contributing to frontend work where needed.

You will own features end-to-end, from development to production, with a focus on scalable, reliable infrastructure and a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Degree not specified; equivalent practical experience acceptable.
• 3+ years of professional Fullstack Software Engineer experience.
• Strong backend development with TypeScript; Python is a plus.
• Frontend skills with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS (Lambda, ECS, etc.). IaC using Terraform or similar.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools to accelerate software work and validate AI outputs.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with continuous learning and mentoring.
• Business-fluent English; German skills are a plus.

To strengthen our Engineering Team, we are looking for a

Fullstack Engineer- Typescript, AWS, React (m/f/d)

(Hybrid in Cologne or remote in Berlin / Full-time / Permanent contract)

*A*s as Fullstack Engineer in our Consumer Domain, you will help shape the experience of millions of consumers using the company products. Working within the Consumer Membership Team, you will focus on expanding existing backend services and building new ones within our AWS landscape while contributing to frontend applications where needed. You will be part of a cross-functional product team that includes Software Engineers, QA, Product Manager, Agile Coach, and Growth experts, all working together to improve the consumer experience through experimentation, fast feedback loops, and data-driven decisions.

Following our “You build it, you own it” philosophy, you will take ownership of solutions throughout their full lifecycle, from development to production and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs within our AWS-based cloud architecture


• Build modern, high-quality frontend applications using TypeScript, React and Next.js to create seamless user experiences


• Take ownership of features throughout the entire software lifecycle - from implementation and deployment to monitoring and production support


• Improve infrastructure automation, scalability, and reliability using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.


• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions and drive technical excellence.


• Foster a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, and resolving challenges constructively.

Your Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Media Informatics, or a related field -or equivalent practical experience


• 3+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer


• Strong and recent hands-on backend development experience with TypeScript is required. Experience with Python is a plus


• Solid frontend development skills with React, Next.js, and TypeScript


• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and operating cloud-native applications on AWS (e.g., Lambda, ECS, or similar services). Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools is a strong plus.


• Proven experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., Claude or similar) to accelerate software development, testing, debugging, and documentation, while critically evaluating and validating AI-generated outputs.


• Collaborative, proactive, and curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and mentoring teammates.


• Business-fluent English skills. German language skills are a plus
