Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineering Intern, Backend, to own a meaningful project end-to-end on a real team in the US financial sector. You'll work with experienced engineers, shipping backend features that matter while learning the stack and domain.

The role involves collaborating across teams, designing and delivering scalable services using Python/Django or Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program with expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Strong CS fundamentals and coding best practices.
• Solid communication skills and ability to drive large projects.
• Interest in fintech and building fintech products.
• Prior software engineering internship or project experience.
• Familiarity with Python/Django or Go and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Own a high-impact backend project from scoping through launch.
• Partner with a mentor to onboard and ship features.
• Design, build, test, and release software for a live financial platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve critical problems.
• Maintain and scale codebase using Python/Django, Go, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS and Kubernetes.
