Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC, Bengaluru-based early‑stage AI SaaS startup, seeks a Backend Developer Intern to ship real features on our production Python backend. You will work under the founding engineering team, building RESTful APIs, background jobs, and data schemas.

You will gain hands‑on experience with LLM APIs, multi‑tenant data handling, and production testing, with mentorship and a potential full‑time conversion for top performers.

Qualifications

• Strong Python fundamentals with real project experience.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of SQL, database design, and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Design database schemas and write migrations for PostgreSQL.
• Implement background and asynchronous jobs and ensure data integrity.
• Integrate with third‑party APIs and LLM providers like OpenAI.
• Write unit and integration tests with pytest.
• Debug across API, worker, and database layers in production.
