Job summary

Press Ganey is seeking a backend software engineer to develop and maintain features in our AI-enabled Hyperlift Stars Platform. You will contribute to API design, database schemas, and test suites, collaborating with product and tech leadership to deliver high-quality software.

You will leverage AI-assisted development tools to speed implementation, improve testing coverage, and streamline debugging, while ensuring scalable, reliable systems across data-intensive workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Professional backend software development experience.
• Ability to deliver features with quality and reliability under guidance.
• Enthusiasm for learning, self-improvement, and staying current with emerging tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Gathers feature requirements and participates in technical discussions to understand scope and design intent.
• Implements features and modules in Elixir/Phoenix and/or Python/Flask following design specifications and internal standards.
• Leverages AI tools to accelerate implementation, improve testing coverage, and streamline debugging workflows.
• Develops and refactors code for performance, clarity, and testability across assigned feature areas.
• Produces supporting documentation and design artifacts for owned features.
• Contributes to database schema design (PostgreSQL) and API development for Hyperlift Stars Platform.
