Job summary

Slack in Lakewood, CO seeks a mid-level engineer to build documentation-first features and scale GraphQL/CI/CD infrastructure. You’ll own Express.js integrations, IaC, and the GitLab CI release process, collaborating with the Lakewood team to move ideas from sketch to production.

You will contribute to a fast, reliable pipeline and help grow Slack’s developer experience in a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Chase down the Express.js integration that silently drops Slack events at midnight.
• Configure and manage infrastructure as code across staging and production.
• Carry features from whiteboard sketch to Lakewood, CO production without dropping the baton.
• Own the GitLab CI release that Lakewood leadership has circled on the calendar.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure across CO engineering teams.
• Ship the fun-loving GraphQL features that move Slack's technology roadmap forward.
• Scale Slack's gRPC services from Lakewood pilot to CO-wide rollout.
