Job summary

Polygon Labs seeks a hands-on infrastructure engineer to operate production Kubernetes on GKE, manage Pulumi-driven infrastructure, and own GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD. You will work across GCP IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, VPC, Secret Manager and Cloudflare as code, ensuring secure lifecycle and incident responsiveness.

The role emphasizes independent work from defined requirements, reviewing infrastructure PRs, and maintaining observability through Grafana.

Qualifications

• Production experience operating Kubernetes on GKE in infra/platform role.
• Hands-on Pulumi experience (TS/Python) for envs, secrets, config.
• Experience with ArgoCD, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and debugging race conditions.
• Strong knowledge of GCP services (IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, VPC, Secret Manager).
• Experience managing Cloudflare Workers/DNS as code, and cleanup of preview envs.
• Own secrets/config across services and prevent cross-service drift.
• Triage and manage production incidents; runbooks and incident.io workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate production Kubernetes environments on GKE; perform maintenance and reliability improvements.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Pulumi (TS/Python).
• Manage GitOps workflows with ArgoCD and CI/CD pipelines; diagnose race conditions.
• Operate GCP infrastructure (IAM, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, VPC, Secret Manager) and tune Pub/Sub.
• Manage Cloudflare as code (Workers, DNS) and clean up stale preview environments.
• Own secrets/config lifecycle across services; provisioning and rotation policies.
• Respond to production incidents with triage, documentation, runbooks, and incident.io workflows.
• Review infrastructure PRs to ensure safety and readiness.
• Build and maintain Grafana dashboards/alerts; understand Grafana Alloy agent/collector.
• Perform SOC2-driven infrastructure work in regulated environments.
• Read Go and work across TypeScript and Python codebases.
• Availability to work core hours overlapping with the EU day.
