Micro1 is seeking a backend-focused engineer to help train next-generation AI systems. You will design tasks to exercise models, implement deterministic verifiers, and ensure robust testing and performance improvements.

Strong expertise in multiple backend languages is valued, along with a track record of building scalable services and APIs. You will work on debugging, code reviews, and optimizing systems, contributing to high-quality, real-world dataset tasks used to advance AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience across languages (Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, Typescript, Python, C++).
• Track record building scalable services and APIs.
• Comfort with debugging, performance work and automated testing.
• Solid code review instincts.
• Strong testing background: test strategy, large test suites, diagnose flaky tests, raise testing bar.

Responsibilities

• Train AI systems by designing realistic coding tasks and edge cases.
• Create deterministic verifiers that accept valid solutions and reject invalid ones.
• Collaborate with teams to shape model learning, reasoning, and performance through high-quality inputs.
