Future Energy Enterprises is seeking a Software Developer to deepen expertise in the California eTRM backend using Python, Django, and AWS. The role targets junior to early-career engineers with mentorship and onboarding.

You will work within an Agile-Scrum team, learning the enterprise codebase, improving reliability, security, and performance, and contributing to backend architecture and new features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional or substantial project experience in software development with complex codebases.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 3+ years of Python/Django backend experience; 3+ years with Postgres SQL; 2+ years REST API design.
• Foundational knowledge of software architecture and familiarity with full-stack concepts (React/Next.js).

Responsibilities

• Own backend features using Python, Django, and AWS, focusing on development, testing, and maintenance.
• Learn and contribute to the enterprise codebase and ensure platform reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions within Agile-Scrum.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews to improve quality.
• Leverage GenAI-enabled tools to boost code quality and documentation.
• Support development of new eTRM features and related products.
