Job summary

FacilityOS is seeking a highly capable Back-End Engineer to contribute to backend web applications and services. You will work with legacy systems, apply solid architectural principles, and make thoughtful technical decisions to improve delivery throughput while maintaining quality.

The ideal candidate brings 4–6 years of backend .NET experience, strong judgment, and the ability to work independently while aligning with team standards and direction.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of backend web application development in .NET Framework/.NET Core using C#.
• Experience understanding legacy systems and integration points with limited ramp-up time.
• Experience contributing to legacy modernization and incremental replacement efforts, Strangler Fig pattern preferred.
• Strong object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience writing unit tests and practicing quality-focused development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, and maintain backend web applications and services across the FacilityOS platform.
• Understand platform architecture, legacy components, and modernization priorities.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to align with delivery goals and architectural principles.
• Contribute to legacy modernization using incremental, low-risk approaches (e.g., Strangler Fig).
• Build maintainable, testable, and scalable backend solutions with established standards.
• Maintain high code quality through testing, code reviews, and static analysis.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
• Work with product stakeholders to support business operations and project delivery.
• Research and recommend architectural improvements for the platform.
