Job summary

Conduct in New York is looking for exceptional builders to design and ship foundational infrastructure that lets us scale to the world’s largest enterprises while accelerating product teams building on top of it.

You will own architecture and production systems across APIs, infrastructure, and data flows, with a focus on backend platforms, distributed systems, and reliable services that endure rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years backend experience with exposure to platform or infrastructure work.
• Strong system design instincts and end-to-end ownership across APIs, infrastructure, and data flows.
• Experience with distributed systems, scaling databases (Postgres), queueing, and large-scale batch processing.
• Benchmark and tune systems under real load and make pragmatic trade-offs when data is ambiguous.
• Familiar with LLM infrastructure at scale.
• Raise the bar through code, mentorship, and better systems.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate product teams by building a platform that lets engineers focus on product rather than plumbing.
• Scale with confidence, designing infrastructure that meets stringent reliability as we grow.
• Tame LLM infrastructure with high token throughput and real-time usage.
• Raise the floor of the system by building robust auth, observability, and job orchestration from the start.
