Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is hiring a senior software engineer to own the data foundations of the Phare stack, including backend schemas and APIs powering both the AI engine and user-facing application.

You will build reliable systems for ingesting, transforming, and serving large-scale healthcare data, with emphasis on performance, observability, and security/compliance. This in-person NYC role requires 3 days in the SoHo office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with 2 years in high-throughput data pipelines.
• Experience architecting microservices and ETL pipelines.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong in Spark, Airflow, or Kafka for data workflows.
• Observability and reliability practices for pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own data foundations including backend schemas and APIs.
• Ensure high performance, observability, and security/compliance.
