Job summary

K Health in New York City is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and expand our data ecosystem. You will build high-quality data pipelines and models, ensure data quality, and work with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes Python-based service development, SQL optimization, and scalable data architectures. This position requires onsite presence in NYC four days a week and does not provide immigration support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or backend engineering focusing on data processing.
• Proficiency in Python for building services, pipelines, automations, and integrations.
• Deep SQL expertise for complex queries and large datasets.
• Strong data modeling knowledge for relational and dimensional structures.
• Commitment to data quality and trustworthy business-critical data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data services and pipelines to support products and data platforms.
• Integrate LLM- and agent-based capabilities into data platforms for smarter data operations and AI-driven products.
• Build scalable data pipelines ensuring clean, accurate data ready for analysis.
• Create robust data models supporting clinical, BI, and operational needs.
• Enforce data quality standards and monitoring across systems and pipelines.
• Manage large-scale storage and processing systems for reliability and performance.
