Job summary

Navius Technologies LLC is seeking a Software Engineer 2 (Back-End) to join a small, high-impact team working on Hadoop-based data pipelines and microservices. This on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD requires TS/SCI with MPOFS poly clearance and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.

You will design and build scalable back-end services, implement RESTful APIs, and containerize components for Kubernetes deployments, contributing to mission-critical systems with distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Java backend development experience.
• Experience with Hadoop and big-data processing.
• Experience designing RESTful services and microservices.
• Containerization and orchestration experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex backend software systems.
• Implement services and data pipelines using Hadoop and related tech.
• Build and evolve microservices architectures and APIs.
• Integrate back-end services with client applications via RESTful interfaces.
• Containerize services and deploy to Kubernetes environments.
• Diagnose complex distributed-system issues and optimize performance.
