Job summary

You will write high-performance database code, ensure data integrity, and help transition from legacy schedulers to a modern environment.

You will work on Cassandra, AlloyDB and PostgreSQL deployments, optimize queries and indexing, and address latency and reliability under production load.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development with backend systems and database engineering.
• Expert-level Python for building high-performance backend services and async/distributed apps.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including tuning and partitioning.
• Experience with distributed data processing and low-latency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to implement and refine software code and database systems for services.
• Develop and optimize data handling for high data throughput and low latency.
• Write efficient database-related code, with indexing and connection management.
• Drive implementation and usage of Cassandra, AlloyDB and PostgreSQL.
• Identify and eliminate database bottlenecks and optimize data transformations.
• Provide engineering support during critical deployments to maintain stability.
• Work with the wider team to translate data needs into robust solutions.
