Job summary

Base is building a next-generation distributed battery and grid software stack. We seek a data-focused Software Engineer to design and operate backend data infrastructure powering dashboards, models, and APIs.

You’ll own pipelines, schemas, and data platforms, collaborating with firmware, markets, and operations to deliver reliable data across the company. This role is onsite in Austin with high impact on critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or backend engineering with a data focus.
• Deep experience building data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Strong coding in Python and SQL; Go is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend data systems ingesting, transforming, and serving data.
• Design, build, and operate batch and streaming data pipelines end-to-end.
• Develop canonical datasets and scalable data models for analytics.
• Integrate diverse data sources and ensure data quality and governance.
• Create platforms for cross-functional teams to query and visualize data.
