Themis Insight, LLC. is seeking a Software Engineer (Back-end, API, Python) to join our Fort Meade-area team. The role focuses on building and maintaining back-end systems and APIs using Python, with flexibility based on client needs.

Central duties include developing scalable services and implementing robust data processing capabilities. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience, plus multiple years in IT application systems and API-oriented development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 additional SWE years.
• Two years of experience developing and customizing core applications (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Service Catalog).
• Four years of IT application systems experience; Python proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance back-end systems with emphasis on APIs.
• Analyze requirements and implement software components.
• Collaborate with team to optimize hardware/software trade-offs.
• Review and test software for design compliance.
