Job summary

Conservation Legacy seeks a Crew Leader II for its Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps Hopi Camping program in Zuni, NM. You will mentor young adults, plan and supervise field conservation projects, and ensure safety and camp operations.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work long field hours in a remote setting. Seasonal, day-to-day duties include administration and mentoring in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Must speak, understand and write English.
• Leadership, management, and supervisory experience with youth or young adults.
• Ability to manage a 40–50+ hour work week including camping and programmatic duties.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and supervise crew leaders and assistants; deliver skills training on-site.
• Train, motivate, and supervise a crew to complete conservation projects.
• Promote crew health, safety, and teamwork; maintain a substance-free environment.
