Job summary

Toca Madera in Scottsdale is seeking a Back Waiter to support Servers and ensure exceptional guest experiences. You will clear, reset, and replenish tables, assist with beverage service, and communicate guest needs to the team to maintain a seamless dining flow.

Applicants should have a diligent work ethic, professional appearance, and availability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Prior full-service restaurant experience is preferred.

• Forecast and anticipate guests’ needs and restaurant demands.
• Experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stand for shifts and lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Execute water service, pour and refill, maintain water levels.
• Keep table free of foreign objects, trash, and unused items.
• Prepare tables for upcoming courses with silverware, plates, linen, etc.
• Wipe down and reset tables between courses.
• Deliver beverages from service bar to guests in their sections.
• Relay guest requests between guest, server, kitchen, and manager.
• Assist Front waiter with greeting tables when applicable.
• Ongoing table maintenance.
• Clear and reset tables promptly after guests depart.
• Spot checks for debris under tables, on floor, booths and chairs.
• Clean up spills in sections.
• Stock and upkeep of side stations.
• Maintain a smile and stay engaged on the floor.
• Proactively suggest cocktails and relay orders to front waiter.
• Relay additional food orders from guests to front waiters.
• Napkins refolded and placed nicely when guests leave.
