Overview:

ComForCare Home Care is seeking an experienced on-call caregiver for permanent shifts. This role requires flexibility to be available within specific time frames to provide care when needed. Candidates must be adaptable to work in various environments, including facilities, with minimal restrictions (pets, smokers, transportation, and distance).

• On-Call Pay Bonus: $25 per shift for being on call (not an hourly rate) plus regular hourly pay if called into work

Responsibilities:

1. Personal Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Medication Management: Remind and assist with administering prescribed medications.
3. Mobility Assistance: Support walking, transferring, and use of mobility aids.
4. Meal Preparation: Plan, cook, and serve nutritious meals based on dietary needs.
5. Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and laundry.
6. Companionship: Offer emotional support, engage in conversations, and participate in recreational activities.
7. Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in health conditions, including vital signs if needed.
8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care activities and health updates.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years caregiving experience
• Willingness and flexibility to work in Montgomery County South East
• Own reliable transportation (vehicle or other dependable means)
• Recent health tests: 2-step PPD (within last 12 months), chest X-ray (within last 2 years), or QuantiFERON Gold Test
