Price Rite in Providence, RI is seeking motivated team members to deliver excellent customer experiences while maintaining a neat back room and accurately receiving deliveries. You will perform duties to protect company assets and support store operations through efficient, safe work practices.

Ideal candidates read, write and speak English, can perform basic math, lift up to 25 lbs (50 lbs occasionally), and work well with others in a fast-paced retail environment. 18+ required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math operations.
• Ability to stand/walk for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with a variety of products and cleaning agents.

• Ability to meet attendance policies and work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor storage area for cleanliness and prepare for next shift.
• Handle damaged or returned stock following policy.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service and assistance.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Open cartons and rotate product safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces and equipment per QA standards.
• Keep floors free of debris and spills.
• Dress and groom per company policy.
• Perform duties according to QA hand-washing standards and gloves when handling food.
• Follow HAZCOM and manufacturer label instructions for chemicals.
• Regularly lift/pull/push merchandise as listed.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise as listed.
• Stand at workstation for scheduled shift; may exceed 8 hours.
• Check prices and know item locations in store.
• Adhere to shrink guidelines and local/state/federal regulations.
• Complete department training; maintain punctual attendance.
• Work overtime as assigned and cooperate with others.
