Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Back Plant Operator to safely oversee the back ash area and related equipment in our disposal process. You will monitor conveyors, perform preventative maintenance, and support shutdowns while maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.

The role requires heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work rotating shifts. A MA 1C/2C hoisting license is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment is required.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot conveyors, belts, rollers and related systems.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers, separators and related equipment for defects.
• Monitor equipment performance including speeds, alignment, ash buildup and system cleanliness.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective tasks.
• Attend daily morning kickoff meeting with maintenance team to review plan.
• Support scheduled shutdowns to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
• Operate industrial equipment including front-end loaders (experience preferred).
• Use weekly activity books and checklists to document status.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures in support of maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in the back ash area.

Apply today!**About the role**As a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the back ash area and associated equipment within Reworld's industrial disposal process.
