Job summary

Reworld Waste, LLC is seeking a Back Plant Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation of the back ash area and related equipment within the disposal process. You will monitor performance, conduct preventive maintenance, and support daily operations to keep the facility running smoothly.

The role requires experience with heavy industrial equipment, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work a rotating shift. MA Hoisting license or ability to obtain is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and support maintenance on conveyors, belts, rollers, and related systems.
• Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Equipment Operator is a strong plus.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Must possess MA 1C/2C Hoisting License (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area inspecting equipment for defects.
• Monitor equipment performance including speeds and alignment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with repairs.
• Participate in daily kickoff meeting with maintenance team.
• Support scheduled shutdowns for safe repairs.
• Operate industrial equipment including front-end loaders.
• Complete inspections using weekly activity books and checklists.
• Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures for maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, compliant back ash area.
• Take on additional duties to ensure safe operations.

Apply today!**About the role**As a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of the back ash area and associated equipment within Reworld’s industrial disposal process. This role combines equipment monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, and daily operational support to ensure reliable facility performance.
