Feather River Tribal Health seeks a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for back-office support. You will assist dental professionals, prepare patients, and manage radiographs and infection control while delivering quality patient care in a tribe-centered setting.

You will contribute to ongoing training, community outreach, and adhere to California regulations. The role emphasizes cultural respect and teamwork in a mission-driven health program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current California Registered Dental Assistant License.
• 1 year experience as an RDA in general dentistry.
• Graduate of accredited RDA program or proven proficiency.
• Coronal Polishing certification and Radiation Safety certs.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up trays and assists dentist.
• Takes and records medical and dental histories and vital signs.
• Impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations.
• Pours, trims and polishes study casts, fabricates trays and restorations.
• Assists in medical/dental emergencies.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene and post-op care.
• Cleans operatories per OSHA infection-control guidelines.
• Maintain inventory and restock operatories.
• Provides dental education to patients and community.
• Exposes and mounts diagnostic digital radiographs.
• Manages patient scheduling procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality in all matters.
• Maintenance and testing of equipment.
• Measurable goals set by supervisor.
