Job summary

Las Vegas Urology LLP seeks a patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support physicians, room patients, prepare exam spaces, assist with procedures, and help with specimen collection and documentation to ensure quality care.

The ideal candidate is a CMA (preferred) or pursuing CMA credentials, bilingual English/Spanish a plus, and able to multitask calmly in a fast-paced practice while maintaining professionalism and compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with clinical and clerical functions in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for exams.
• Assist with in-office procedures and set up instruments.
• Manage control logs and ensure compliance documentation.
• Perform wound checks, suture/staple removal, wound care education.
• Collect and handle specimens (venipuncture, urinalysis, prostate tissue).
• Administer injections (Lupron, Depo-Provera, Testosterone, collagen testing).
• Insert/remove catheters, conduct voiding trials, bladder instillations, teach self-catheterization.
• Conduct impotence testing (Doppler, Biothesiometry).
• Review lab results and communicate with patients.
• Prepare charts and handle patient calls.
• Perform general clerical duties (scanning, faxing, emails, record keeping).

What You'll Be Doing:

You’ll support our clinical team and physicians in delivering excellent patient care through hands-on procedures, documentation, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients and preparing them for exams


• Assisting with in-office procedures and setting up instruments

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This role involves standing and walking for extended periods, occasional lifting, and regular patient contact. Manual dexterity and comfort working on computers are essential. You should be prepared to work in a busy clinic and maintain professionalism at all times.
