Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a hands-on Working Supervisor to manage daily clinical operations in our Atlanta-area practice. This role focuses on supervising staff, ensuring patient care quality, and maintaining appropriate staffing and supplies to support smooth operations.

Ideal candidates will have an H.S. diploma or GED, MA/Nursing Assistant training, and a minimum of 3 years in a healthcare back office.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program completed.
• 3 years of back-office healthcare experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire required.
• CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification upon hire required.
• LPN licensure preferred

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and oversees daily activities of clinical staff performing patient care in line with standards.
• Maintains sufficient clinical staffing levels and supplies to run day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for functioning as a hands-on working supervisor and under general direction: plans, assigns, and oversees the daily activities of specified clinical employees that perform a variety of patient care activities in accordance with established standards and protocols. Responsible for maintaining sufficient clinical staffing levels and adequate medical supplies needed to run the day-to-day operation of the practice.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES); or similarly recognized accrediting organization or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of back office experience in a healthcare setting Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification: Candidate must possess a certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or a similarly recognized certifying organization Upon Hire Required or
