Job summary

IHOP is seeking a BoH Team Member to join a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will learn kitchen maintenance essentials, clean and organize the workspace, and help keep a safe, sanitary area for all staff.

Reliability and a positive attitude are essential as you handle physical tasks like dishwashing. The role offers flexible schedules and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in casual restaurant settings preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Familiarity with a POS system preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to handle restaurant duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen space with cleanliness and safety in mind.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen upkeep across shifts.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

The BoH Team Member is an energetic team player who understands the essentials of restaurant kitchen maintenance or is willing to learn. Working various shifts, you will clean and manage the kitchen space to ensure a safe, sanitary, and productive work environment for all team members. Being reliable and taking a positive approach to tackling physical tasks, such as dishwashing, is critical.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the Casual Restaurant industry preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Familiarity with a POS system is preferred
• ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
