Position Objective
The Line Cook is responsible for executing dishes with consistency, precision, and urgency while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workstation. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality food and supporting a strong, team-driven kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and plating across all dishes
- Complete daily prep tasks and support overall kitchen readiness
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper handling at all times
- Maintain proper labeling, storage, and product rotation (FIFO)
- Set up and break down stations efficiently for service
- Keep workstations organized for maximum efficiency and flow
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift
- Follow proper knife handling and equipment safety procedures
- Prevent cross-contamination and uphold health department standards
- Communicate clearly with chefs and teammates during service
- Adapt to business levels and support all areas of the kitchen as needed
- Maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods during service
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and lift or move items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to frequently move throughout the kitchen, walk-ins, freezers, and storage areas
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed and accuracy
- Comfortable working around hot surfaces, wet floors, and refrigerated environments
- Ability to work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, glassware, walk-in refrigerators/freezers, and cleaning chemicals
Experience
- Must have night time availability, including weekends and holidays
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role preferred
- Experience in high volume or full service environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and food preparation
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safe operating procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and execute consistently
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
Certifications
- Food safety and RBS certification are required
- If not currently certified, employees must complete certifications within 30 days of hire
