Job summary

CruitZi in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, seeks a Back End Software Engineer to build and maintain server-side components powering web applications. You’ll collaborate with the team to ensure performance, security, and scalability across the stack.

Responsibilities include designing robust APIs, optimizing databases, and working with frontend developers to deliver seamless user experiences. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years backend experience are required, along with TS/SCI-FSP clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years backend development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python/Java/Ruby).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GC).
• Experience with Git and Agile methodologies.
• Active TS/SCI-FSP security clearance.
