Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Back End Full Stack Software Developer in Chantilly, VA to work with a small team of software developers to accelerate system and application development. The role involves collaborating with Machine Learning Engineers and Software Developers to deliver innovative technical solutions on national programs.

Requirements include an active TS/SCI with polygraph, a technical degree or higher, and multiple years of hands-on Python, Django, and RESTful API experience.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and 14+ years of related experience; Masters and 12+ years; PhD or JD and 9+ years.
• Technical degree.
• 5 years additional experience as a software developer in lieu of degree.
• 5 years of relevant experience as a software developer.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Python experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Django experience.
• Experience with RESTful API architecture.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with AWS platform.
• Experience with Docker, ECR, ECS, EKS.
• Analytic thinker who works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work within the team to develop new and to enhance existing systems and applications.
• Produce effective and elegant code based algorithms.
• Test and deploy programs and applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.
• Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance.
• Proactively seek opportunities to use process improvement and re-engineering methodologies to facilitate improvements to team processes.
