GIGATEC Engineering is seeking a Back End Software Engineer in the United States to evolve a mission-focused software suite. You will work across backend services, containers, orchestration, and integration points to keep applications resilient.

Candidates should have TS clearance and experience with Linux, Python, Rust concepts, Kubernetes, Docker, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. Familiarity with CI/CD, Helm, and Ansible is a plus.

Formación

• Experience with Linux CLI and scripting for automation.
• Proficient in Python development with modern tooling.
• Experience with Rust concepts or willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Hands-on with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience deploying with Helm charts to Kubernetes clusters.
• Experience messaging with RabbitMQ and CI/CD (GitLab CI).
• IaC with Ansible; version control with Git.

As the Back End Software Engineer you'll be part of a team, helping to evolve and sustain a mission-focused software suite, working across backend services, containers, orchestration, and integration points to keep applications resilient and ready for what comes next.

Required Skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Desired Skills

• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
• Enjoys the occasional coffee-fueled brainstorm and a well-placed joke.
