Job summary

Gigatec in Annapolis, Maryland, is searching for a Back End Software Engineer to help evolve and sustain a mission-focused software suite. You’ll focus on backend services, working with technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes while ensuring the applications remain resilient.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, Linux CLI, and NoSQL databases. A Top Secret clearance and passing a polygraph are required for this position, as well as a collaborative and innovative mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools.
• Experience developing scripts using Bash.
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience.
• Experience with Rust programming concepts or a willingness to learn.
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience creating Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks like RabbitMQ.
• Familiar with CI/CD principles and tools such as GitLab CI.
• Familiar with IaC methodologies and tools like Ansible.
• Experience using Git for source control.
