Job summary

A world-leading AI and Financial Technology firm in New York is seeking a talented backend developer to join their team. You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI, building scalable REST APIs for cloud-native financial applications.

Work on a greenfield Portfolio Management System, ingest real-time market data via Bloomberg and other providers, and optimize performance and scalability across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Hands-on Bloomberg API integration experience.
• Strong understanding of backend application architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Cloud development experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
