B Tech (Intermediate Level) for our new Egg Harbor, NJ location

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through ASE Certifications and/or years of automotive repair experience.

We are looking for an Intermediate Level Technician (B Tech) who can work independently and collaboratively with peers. We have a full-service facility, and we seek automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

• Perform visual safety and courtesy inspections.
• Test specific parts and systems to ensure proper operation.
• Mount, balance, and rotate tires.
• Replace batteries, bulbs, belts, and hoses.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning parts such as brake pads, belts, tires, water pumps.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance including oil changes and tune-ups.
• Handle more complex jobs with some assistance, such as diagnostics.
• Test drive vehicles post-repair.
• Maintain and clean shop areas.
• Willingness to learn and grow as a technician.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Prior knowledge of automotive basics required.
• Knowledge of shop equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with some assistance.
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently.
• Ability to read service manuals, repair manuals, and work orders.
• Valid driver's license.

Compensation: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
