We're looking for PILATES FUSION Instructors who are exceptional coaches first. Beyond the studio floor, they are professionals, teammates, and leaders who help strengthen the B/SPOKE community.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Role: Part-Time PILATES FUSION Instructor
Location Priorities: Wellesley, East Boston, Cape House & Downtown Boston (all class times), South Boston (early AM avail preferred)

B/SPOKE PILATES FUSION Instructors lead music-driven Pilates and Barre-inspired group fitness classes that emphasize movement quality, rhythm, and purposeful coaching. They create an environment where clients feel welcomed, challenged, supported, and successful while delivering a consistent B/SPOKE experience in every class.

You are a coach first. You understand how to teach movement with clarity and intention while creating an experience that is both technically sound and engaging.

• Strong understanding of Pilates and/or Barre movement principles
• Excellent musicality and the ability to coach movement on the beat
• Confidence leading a room with clear, effective cueing
• Thoughtful class design that balances challenge, flow, and accessibility

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Before applying, please confirm that you meet the minimum eligibility requirements below.

• Level 1 Mat Pilates or Barre certification
• At least 1 year of experience teaching group fitness
• Have taken at least 10 B/SPOKE PILATES classes within the past 6 months (exceptions may be considered at the discretion of the B/SPOKE Recruitment & Training Team)

What We're Looking For

Movement Expertise:
You have a strong understanding of Pilates and Barre movement principles, alignment, and body mechanics. You coach with precision, prioritize safe movement patterns, and confidently provide modifications and progressions for clients of varying experience levels.

Programming & Class Design:
You create thoughtful, music-driven class experiences with intentional sequencing, smooth transitions, and appropriate intensity. You understand how to build challenge throughout class while maintaining flow and helping clients feel successful.

Coaching & Leadership:
You are a coach first. You communicate with clarity, coach confidently on the beat, and create an environment where clients feel motivated, supported, and connected. You lead with professionalism, presence, and authenticity while fostering community in every class.

Culture & Team Contribution:
You represent the B/SPOKE brand with integrity both inside and outside the studio. You're reliable, collaborative, and open to feedback, recognizing that great instructors never stop learning. You contribute positively to our instructor community and are committed to creating an inclusive experience where every client feels welcomed and empowered.

AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING EXPECTATIONS

Successful candidates are expected to:

• Be available to teach a minimum of 4 permanent classes per week (required)
• Maintain regular weekend availability for permanent and subbed classes (preferred)
• Contribute actively to additional schedule opportunities, including subbing
• Communicate proactively regarding scheduling, availability, and commitments

TRAINING & ONBOARDING EXPECTATIONS

Up to 30 hours over 6–8 weeks.

Training will occur primarily on weekday evenings and weekends. Flexibility availability is required. Anticipated training window: August 20th- October 11th (2026)

Training will include a combination of:

• Asynchronous virtual learning & manual work
• In-person coaching
• Practice teaching

During training, you'll be expected to:

• Attend every session
• Complete homework on time
• Attend a minimum of 2 B/SPOKE PILATES classes per week
• Practice independently

HIRING PROCESS

• Live Audition
• Interview (as applicable)
• Training

An invitation to Training does not guarantee placement on the PILATES FUSION instructor team. Final placement is contingent upon performance throughout Training, successful completion of the final demo class, and readiness to deliver the B/SPOKE experience.
